The stores, in more detail
The biggest Carrefour in the city — full food range, electronics, home, garden and a large car park.
Attached to the shopping centre north of the river, easy on foot from Martiricos metro.
Handy if you are staying near the airport or Torremolinos — combine with Plaza Mayor.
Small-format stores for water, wine and last-minute basics — open Sundays.
Mid-size store good for a proper grocery run without leaving the historic centre.
Opening hours, in brief
Hypermarkets: Monday–Saturday 09:00–22:00. Closed most Sundays outside the summer season. Carrefour Express: every day, roughly 08:00–23:00. Public holidays are hit-or-miss — the Carrefour app is the only reliable source.
Getting there without a car
Los Patios: EMT bus 3 or 11 from Alameda. Rosaleda: Metro Line 1 to Martiricos, then a seven-minute walk. Málaga Nostrum: EMT bus 75 or Cercanías C1 to Plaza Mayor (10 min walk). Carrefour delivery is available across the city for orders over €50.
