Caminito del Rey
The province's headline outdoor excursion: a managed route through the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes, including elevated walkways fixed against the gorge. Tickets are timed and should be reserved in advance. Children under eight are not permitted under current rules.

Ronda
One of Andalucía's most visually dramatic towns, divided by the deep Tajo gorge and joined by the Puente Nuevo. The bridge is the image visitors know, but the town deserves a wider walk. An overnight gives the town a different atmosphere after tour groups leave.
